An 80-year-old man in Italy is believed to have stabbed his 61-year-old wife to death in a fit of rage when she refused to have sex with him after he swallowed a Viagra pill, according to reports.
Vito Cangini told police he had shot dead his Ukrainian wife Natalia Kyrychok on Sunday in the town of Fanano di Gradara, Newsflash reports.
He said the woman had promised him that she would have sex with him so she had taken a drug pill for erectile dysfunction, but later the woman had changed her mind.
The refusal by Kyrychok had led to a serious conflict during which Cangini accused the woman of being more interested in her boss, and then stabbed her, according to reports.
The man is accused of leaving the woman’s bloody body on the floor and falling asleep.
Just the next day the elderly man is believed to have told a neighbor what he had done, to whom he also asked to notify police.
But the neighbor reportedly told him he “did not want to get involved” and told Cangini to do it himself. reports the Daily Mail.
The elderly man then told a woman about what he had done and asked her to inform the authorities, but she also refused, because according to reports she did not believe him.
Cangini had finally called the restaurant where his wife worked as a cook, and told the owner, “I know there is something between the two of you.”
He further added that he “would never see” Ms. Kyrychok again, so the owner had notified the police who had found the woman’s body.
She had been stabbed at least four times, including in the heart.
Police found the crime weapon and arrested the husband of 17 years of the deceased woman.
