In September 2019, she met a man, identified as Bujar, who worked as a driver at the Tufina cemetery. Bujar told the woman that he knows a cemetery manager who can help them find the places, that in the investigative file provided by the journalist Anila Hoxha, is identified by the name Andi.
Andy told the couple about two graves, inside which two bodies were resting. But, in exchange for 50 thousand lek, he was ready to exhume the corpses, put them in the wall places and instead, write the names of MS and her husband on the graves.
M., as he himself stated, took several months, until in December, after collecting the year-end bonus and some savings, he paid the amount of 50,000 ALL.
investigation have put in handcuffs Eljodor Ndini, acting Director of the Funeral Services Agency in the Municipality of Tirana and Xhemal Mena, Latif Shehu, Gazment Daja, employee of the Tufin Cemetery Sector, who are accused of abuse of office.
Bujar Lica, Alban Ajazi and Endrin Milla are accused of Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions and Fatjon Gjonaj for the criminal offense of “Illegal construction”.
From the investigations, it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, in return for a reward of 30,000 to 50,000 new lek, abusing their duty, have provided burial places for different citizens in the Tufina cemetery.
