German defense equipment maker Rheinmetall is preparing to supply Ukraine with 50 Leopard 1 combat tanks, which have been used.
The BBC writes that the first tanks can be delivered within six weeks.
The Leopard 1, which first entered service in 1965, is the forerunner of the more modern Leopard 2 currently being put on the ground by the German armed forces.
The tanks have been returned to the company from the places they received them.
