2 social media influencers were among the 4 victims of the tragic crash of a plane in the frozen lake near Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik.
Despite the difficult weather conditions, the search continued today for the recovery of the bodies of the serious accident at the weekend.
Josh Neuman, American travel and adventure blogger with more than 1 million followers on YouTube, and a well-known Belgian influencer have died in the accident, media reported.
With them were also a 27-year-old Dutchman and a 49-year-old Icelandic pilot of the aircraft.
The Cessna C172 aircraft had taken off from Reykjavik on Thursday, but was found at the bottom of a frozen lake near the capital on Friday.
The bodies of the victims were found Sunday by an underwater robot.
Police believe that as a result of an accident the passengers were thrown from the plane before falling into the frozen water about 1 km away from the shores of the lake.
“The bodies were found relatively close, about 300 meters from the plane, at the bottom of the lake,” local police said in a statement.
