Four months of fighting and fierce attacks in Ukraine have not spared the lives of journalists and photojournalists reporting from the front line.
Journalists killed or wounded were honored through an exhibition in Kiev entitled “The war is not over yet.”
This is a war that is taking the lives of our citizens, says one of the organizers.
“We want to show the war continues, it is not over. Civilians are being killed! Ukrainian and foreign journalists are dying. “Therefore, we urge foreign media to continue to tell the world about Russia’s crimes in our country.”
Portraits of journalists and media workers, victims of the conflict, placed on black and white signs in the center of the capital, attract the attention of Ukrainians.
American producer Brent Renaud is the first journalist to be killed by Russian forces on March 13.
Fox News operator Pierre Zakrzewski died on March 14 along with Ukrainian producer Oleksandra Kuvshynova. Their vehicle was hit by fire, injuring correspondent Benjamin Hall, outside the Ukrainian capital.
Frenchman Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff died on May 30, escorting civilians aboard an evacuation bus in eastern Ukraine.
Eight reporters have been reported killed and 16 others wounded since the start of the Russian occupation.
