The Tirana court decided to release from prison 34 detainees of the violent protest of January 8 at the headquarters of the Democratic Party, this Wednesday.

According to the accusations that have been filed, it turns out that 11 of those arrested are supporters of Basha and 23 others of Berisha.

In recent months, the Democratic Party has faced an internal political battle between Democrat leader Lulzim Basha and Sali Berisha, splitting the country’s largest opposition party into two camps.
