This Sunday marks the 32nd day of the war in Ukraine, as the situation comes and becomes even more difficult.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged the West to increase military supplies to his country. He said it was not just Ukraine that was in danger and only 1% of NATO tanks and aircraft needed to help his forces fight Russia.
Concerns have been raised at the Chernobyl power plant as there has been no staff rotation for nearly a week. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it was concerned about the pressures staff are facing.
Powerful explosions were heard in Lviv, a city in western Ukraine not far from the Polish border, and the mayor said he thought the Russian airstrikes were intended to send a message to Biden. Lviv has become a safe haven for Ukrainians fleeing the conflict.
“For God’s sake, this man can not stay in power,” US President Joe Biden told Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during a speech in the Polish capital, Warsaw.
While the Kremlin said that it is not up to Biden to decide who rules Russia.
