Albania and Montenegro did not waste time during the “Open Balkans” summit held in Ohrid, and presented a concrete project linking the two countries. A bridge near Velipoja that crosses the Buna River and goes to Montenegro
The director of the Albanian Development Fund, Dritan Agolli gave details on this project. He said that the bridge will have a length of 303 meters with 3 arches and will significantly shorten the distance between the two areas,
The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abrazovic said that with this bridge there will be a lot of movement between the two countries, mainly tourists.
“Let me say a few words, I am very happy for this project. This is something we discussed in Tirana last summer, so now we are very close to starting concrete work “, said Abrazovic.
Prime Minister Rama said that this project will be accompanied by other infrastructure works.
“In the meantime, I have to add something. You know, but for those who do not know, we are already building the tourist road Shengjin-Velipoja which will practically make the road from Ulcinj to Shengjin very short. This is the spirit of the Open Balkans. “Everything else people can say is not a problem, but this is the spirit.” said Rama.
