The services of the Rinas Police Commissariat, following the work to prevent, identify and crack down on illegality, have hit a bribery case. At the end of the actions in this case, the citizen LH, 18 years old, resident in Berat, was prosecuted for the criminal offense “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions”.
This citizen has offered to the Border Police officers, a sum of money, to cross the border illegally.
Also, the Rinas Border Police services, in cooperation with the customs authorities, hit a case of smuggling of licensed goods. At the end of the investigative actions in this case, the citizen MK, 46 years old, resident in Turkey, was prosecuted for the criminal offense “Smuggling of licensed goods”, because during the control in the second line, in the suitcase of this citizen were found several packages with medical medicines, which this citizen had not declared nor had the document accompanying the import permit from the responsible authorities.
The materials in charge of these two citizens were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Tirana Judicial District, for further procedural actions.
