The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over 16 years of age can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
If you suspect you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your GP for testing or call the National Emergency number at unique 127.
We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 2278 tests were performed, of which 296 citizens tested positive with COVID19, in the following municipalities:
91 in Tirana, from 21 citizens in Fier, Vlora, 18 in Durrës, 14 in Elbasan, 13 in Korça, 11 in Lushnje, 8 in Berat, from 7 citizens in Saranda, Mallakastër, from 6 citizens in Shkodër, Dimal, from 5 citizens in Përmet, Divjakë, Kamëz, Lezhë, from 4 citizens in Dibër, Gjirokastër, Tepelena, from 3 citizens in Tropojë, Kurbin, Kavaja, Himara, from 2 citizens in Gramsh, Belsh, Skrapar, Kuçovë, Devoll, Pogradec, Memaliaj, Rrogozhinë, Vora, Kukës, by 1 citizen in Malësi e Madhe, Mirditë, Shijak, Patos, Delvinë, Konispol, Kolonjë, Peqin, Librazhd.
There are 5366 active COVID19 patients nationwide.
Currently 128 patients are receiving treatment in COVID hospitals, of which 12 are in more serious condition. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 2 deaths with SARS-COV2 positive: a citizen from Tirana 78 years old, a citizen from Lushnja 81 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
402 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 196,700 since the beginning of the epidemic.
