Three people were arrested in Korça, after 11 emigrants were crossing the border illegally, in exchange for a reward.
The police operation codenamed “Perimeter” was finalized with the arrest of A. Xh., 40 years old, resident in the village of Dishnica, Korca, AM, 24 years old and DM, 23 years old, resident in the village of Marjan, Korca.
The emigrants were being transported with two vehicles, 2 vehicles, respectively “Benz” driven by the citizen A. Xh. and “Opel” with driver AM citizen and passenger the other arrested. In these vehicles were illegal immigrants, who were being transported to Tirana.
Work is ongoing to identify and arrest other persons involved in this event. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance in Korça, for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing”, committed in collaboration.
